TORONTO, May 30, 2012:  The 14th edition of the famous car rally took over Toronto recently at celebrity hotspot Maison Mercer. The exclusive event, supporting the Gumball 3000 Global Lifestyle and Entertainment Group is the second and only Canadian stop on the seven city tour that kicked off early yesterday in New York City.

The crowd of 1000 enjoyed cocktails by Moet and Belvedere while listening to an incredible set by guest DJ Chris Aidy. The rally drivers parked their cars for the night to come celebrate the first leg of their week-long journey. Unfortunately fan favourites David Hasselhoff, Eve and Gumball 3000 Group Founder and CEO Maximillion Cooper had to miss the event because their cars broke down en route to Toronto. Notable names that were on hand to welcome the drivers include UFC fighter Mark Bocek, Jessie Sulidis from The Bachelor and members of the Toronto Marlies.

The Gumball 3000 rally appeals to the luxury market and the lifestyles of the already ‘rich and famous’ just like Maison Mercer. The night couldn’t have been more of a success and Maison Mercer’s owner and rally driver himself Zark Fatah says “driving in the Gumball is something I've wanted to do for years. The combination of incredible cars, awesome parties and driving coast to coast is an unforgettable way to spend a week. Hosting the official Gumball event at Maison Mercer is amazing. It is a really interesting group of people that definitely know how to party!”
