
Glasgow-born Gail McInnes has been involved in Toronto’s fashion scene for fourteen years, and is TDot TV's Fashion Correspondent.
The honours graduate of Humber College’s Fashion Arts program offers a rare all-encompassing view of the Canadian fashion landscape having gained a broad range of experience in model and artist management, casting, retail market research, fashion show coordination, marketing, promotions, event planning, trend forecasting, and fashion reporting.
Her extensive network contains some of the industry’s most influential members and she is often sought out for her insider information and discerning advice.
Gail’s inherent charm and expertise has had her called upon for various television appearances, including E! News Weekend, Radio-Canada, The Movie Network, CTV Newsnet, TLC’s Perfect Proposal, Slice Network’s X-Weighted, MTV Canada’s MTV Live, and as a Fashion Correspondent for TDot TV. She has been featured in FLARE, ELLE Canada, Sunday Mail (Scotland), National Post, Globe & Mail, Toronto Star, Toronto Life, NOW Magazine, Eye Weekly, and many more.
In 2008, Gail was selected as one of Pierre Maraval’s Mille Femmes – a photographic exhibition celebrating Toronto’s most creative and inspiring women. She co-founded The Style Box, the country’s first-ever Canadian designer rental showroom for high-profile personalities in 2009 and was named one of NOW Magazine’s “Fashion Heroes”. She was recently nominated as "Communicator of the Year" by the prestigious Scottish Fashion Awards, in association with VOGUE.com.
Gail launched her marketing, promotions and events management company Magnet Creative Management in early 2010, working with established and emerging fashion and lifestyle brands; including LINE Knitwear, Toronto Fashion Incubator, The Drake Hotel, MICALLA, Chatelaine Magazine, Triarc Events, Ukamaku, Penicullus Bellum, Annie Thompson, Polysh Magazine, Breeyn McCarney, Magnolia Boutique, Starkers Corsetry by Dianna DiNoble, and SOOS Rocks Jewelery.
She also devotes her time to furthering the careers of the next generation of fashion entrepreneurs through esteemed organizations Youth Employment Services (YES) as the A Passion for Fashion program coordinator, the Toronto Fashion Incubator (TFI) as a contributor of TFI News, and as a guest speaker and judge at various colleges and universities.
